Keyboard and alphanumeric display to permit defining
instrument set points quickly.
Two channels of electronic flow sensing make setting carrier
gas flow rates as easy. The flow sensor saves time in set-up and permits
monitoring flow rate during analyses.
Heated zone values, oven temperature, flow sensor readings,
or stored column compensation baseline profiles can be assigned to an analog
output channel. As a troubleshooting aid, a permanently stored test
chromatogram is available to aid in snsuring proper operation of connected
data-handling devices.
An AINET@
(Instrument Network) feature permits interfacing the HP 5890A to an
integrator and automatic liquid sampler. INET is a digital interface
permitting an integrator, for example an HP 3392A, to receive digital
detector data, and to receive and transmit chromatographic setpoints.
Information is provided to aid in isolating chemical,
mechanical, or electronic problems.
Built-in diagnostics and comprehensive self-tests are
included to aid in diagnosing electronic problems.
